Hill End Cottage is a pet friendly holiday home tucked away in an idyllic setting up on a hill in the beautiful village of Low Row in the Swaledale area of the Yorkshire Dales.  Swaledale is home to Our Yorkshire Farm, Amanda Owen, the Yorkshire Shepherdess and is also known as 'Herriot' country, as featured in the popular TV programme All Creatures Great and Small.  Surrounded by the Upper Dales rolling hills you wont be disappointed.  From every window in the cottage there are views that cannot be missed. 

We bought Hill End Cottage in 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic during lockdown, this gave us a focus on where we wanted to go with our business.  We started refurbishing the cottage to transform it into two cottages with a home from home feel. 

When you arrive at Hill End Cottage, you will discover an open-plan interior consisting of a sitting room, dining area and kitchen. You will see how lovingly the property is maintained and finished. Maintaining exposed stone walls and original features whilst offering a high standard of accommodation.

The charming sitting room featuring a log burner stove, smart flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi and a variety of games for a relaxed evening in. In the living area a warming log burner stove sits inside the exposed stone fireplace giving the room a wonderfully cosy feel even in the coldest of months. The well equipped modern but country feel kitchen offers an oven, hob, microwave, American fridge/freezer, The downstairs utility room has a washing machine/dryer.  Stairs situated off the sitting room lead to the first floor where the beautiful king-size bedroom provides breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside.  This room also has an ensuite with walk in shower.  There is a double bedroom and two twin rooms that also all have breath-taking views from the windows. The family bathroom features basin, bath with overhead shower and WC.

Outside, there is an attractive south facing cottage garden to the front of the property with café table and chairs providing a delightful place for alfresco dining or simply enjoying the scenery. Off road parking is available.

We also welcome pets as we know how important it is that they also have a holiday too and sincerely hope that you enjoy your stay in the Yorkshire Dales.
